town talk
For this project, I was tasked with creating a card game, complete with a set of rules, card designs, and packaging. The game I developed is called TownTalk, a fun and engaging way for players to learn the art of debate while spending time with friends and family.

In TownTalk, players begin by selecting a character, with one person acting as the mayor who reads a prompt aloud. Players then take turns arguing for or against the prompt, utilizing their character’s strengths and attributes. The game can be played in teams or one-on-one, allowing for a flexible and dynamic experience.
The rules I designed for the game are simple, aiming to make it accessible for players aged 10 and up. I focused on creating a balance between strategy and creativity, allowing players to express their opinions while also developing critical thinking and communication skills. To keep the game straightforward and easy to understand, the rules are minimal yet flexible enough to accommodate different play styles and group dynamics.
For the design, I chose to use simple graphics and a simple color palette to give the game a clean, polished look. The aesthetic is modern yet approachable, ensuring that it appeals to both younger and older audiences.
The goal was to create a game that is not only fun but also educational, encouraging healthy debate and thoughtful discussion in a
lighthearted setting.
